Two days ago I called off my wedding. How mortifying!..... BUT, here is the first time in my life that i will have the opportunity to deal with an issue instead of drowning myself in food.

As sad as I am, it is a good thing that this relationship is over. It has become aparent to me lately that my fiance was not supportive of my weight loss journey and that he would never be supportive. Bad relationship, time to end it.

I am proud of myself. I haven't eaten anything that I shouldn't, and I haven't over ate at all..... But I feel like I might as well have. I am still on this stall and it is really frustrating the hell out of me. I want so badly to continue on this journey and to get down to a healthy weight for my height and age........... but these stalls really mess with my head and make me wonder what the hell I must be doing wrong to deserve this. I know that stalls are normal and that they happen to everyone, but seriously.... IT'S KILLING ME!dry.gif

Hopeless. That's how I feel. Absolutely hopeless.

The stall will break. Just focus on taking care of yourself emotionally. I'm sorry your ex was not supportive, but you sound like you've got your chin up. Good for you!

It sucks, but stress can cause/prolong a stall, and it sounds like you've got more than your share right now.

I'm proud of you for making the hard choice that's right for your future. For now, just focus on doing what you need to do - eating right, drinking good fluids, staying active - and stay off the scale. You don't need the added stress of looking at that same number day after day.

The stall will break. The more you take care of yourself, the less that stress will contribute to prolonging it.

Good luck!

Girl don't even worry about the ex. I know it hurts but this is your time to focus on you and you don't need people around you who do not support what you choose to do with your body to become healthier. When this is all over and you look and feel fabulous, he'll probably come crawling back and by that time......you will have moved on to a happier place in life.

Well it sounds like you just may have booted the problem. If he cant be supportive of you then good riddance. He was prolly the reason your stress level was so high. You will break that stall. Just stay off the scale. Good luck!

Everybody stalls because our bodies just don't like to give up the weight.

After your body gets used to its new weight for awhile, it will give up some more. It's just the way it is.

First of all (((((hugs))))) for the called off wedding!

It took courage to do what you did and hooray for you for knowing what was right! ANd to not medicate with food- wow- what a milestone for you!

As for the stall- read this- it really makes sense as to what is going on. I read it whenever I stall, or sloe to a crawl.

Sorry you are facing so many challenges right now, but I know you will make it through to the other side of it all. I just got through a 6 week stall, and I was pretty sure I had met the end of my weight loss, but happily, In not there yet. Just be good to yourself, and keep treating yourself with the best quality food and overall treatment. You deserve it! Congrats on all the weight you have already lost.

Some said they increase there food intake & kept exercising & it broke the stall. Good Luck & hang in there. Believe it our not it's common for some people not to be able to handle the weight loss of there mate. I don't understand it myself.

So.... you're saying you're available?

Kidding smile.gif. If you're doing the right things, and eating like you're supposed to, the weight will come off eventually. Plus, it looks like you've already lost 66 lbs? That's something to be proud of!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
