Is there such a thing as "240's LAND" ?

Recommended Posts

I am too far off from onederland but I reached 240 land. I weighed in at 248 this morning and it has been over 20 years since that has happened. I had a long stall but it is finally broken. I am a little over 3 months post-op and I am down about 67lbs. I feel like a different person. My next stop, the real onederland.

Congratulations to you!! It's exciting to see long-lost "front numbers" on the scale--I'm about to break into 220-land (yes, there is such a place!), which I haven't visited since just after grad school MANY years ago. Keep up the great work!!

YES!!! I think that is a big milestone. When you think about "weight limits" often times 250 is quite the barrier. Most rides, waterslides, etc. will post a weight limit warning "no one over 250", etc. So yes, you need to Celebrate that you are below the 250 mark!! Woo hoo!

Thank you for this post!!!:D

Sometimes it is hard for me to not be frustrated when you look at how much farther I have to go...

I mean some people are just getting sleeved at the weight I currently am or LESS.... It is tough when you start off at an extremely high weight..but like you, each 10 # drop is a milestone in my book!

Good Luck to you!!

Thanks for this post...I feel the same way. I started at 394...and I Celebrate every time second number on the scale changes (380's, 370's, 360's, ect...) I was so excited yesterday when I did my weekly weigh in and I was 329.9 (barely in the 320's.....but there!!!) Although I will Celebrate when i hit the 310's....my next big goal is to get under 300. Might sound strange to say "I can't wait until I'm 299". Realistically don't know if I'll ever see the infamous "onderland" but i'll settle for somewhere in the low "twonerland."

I just celebrated my 36th birthday and at first felt a little depressed with getting older...but then my awesome husband reminded me that with my weight loss my body is really getting younger and healthier. Sometimes we need those little reminders :)

Thank you for this post!!!:D

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
