Myers Briggs Type Indicators
ENTP over here! We just did 360 evals and took the Myers Briggs to help assess and learn about our management team. Very interesting stuff!

Is there such a thing as "240's LAND" ?
I can't wait to get below 250! I've been in a stall for almost 7 weeks and look forward to losing again... celebrate all the milestones and hurdles and congrats on achieving 240-land!

Can you eat sushi?
I go out for sushi once a week and usually eat the left overs for breakfast. I mostly eat sashimi though... a great source of protein!

So tell me: What about YOU makes you feel SEXY?
My collar bones and how funny it is when my fiance bonks his nose on them... my legs when they are tan... the way he gets lost looking at me when we are sitting together... my inner confidence... I was sexy before surgery but I sure feel yummy now! Thanks for asking as i've never really thought about it!

Does everyne lose their hair???
I started losing gobs of hair around month four too. While it clogs my shower drain and hair now covers the floor - I am more then happy to swiffer more often and wouldn't trade my hair back for the 80 pounds lost! A friend picked me up from work one day and when I got out of her car... I had shedded all over the seat. It would have been horribly embarrassing if it hadn't been so darn funny. I take Biotin and hope that I don't develop bald spots. Picking my hair off my clothes in meetings nonchalantly and with a smile. This too shall pass!

Burger Salad
This sounds delicious and I can't wait to try it! Thanks for a great idea. I might add grilled onions and mushrooms too!

Diabetes
I was diagnosed in my early thirties and as my diabetes progressed over the last decade I was put on Metformin, Lantis, Symlin and glimeparide and my blood sugars were still out of control... I've been medication free since two days before my surgery! My sugars test 108-120 most days. Exercise helps lower sugars as does cutting carbs. The surgery has saved the quality of my life and even if one day I have to take some meds again it will never be as bad as it was. Love my sleeve!

BIRTHDAY CAKE TWO DAYS IN A ROW!!!
Step away from the cake... Drop your fork slowly put both hands up where we can see them and don't make any sudden movements towards the frosting! Forgive yourself and move on.

My willpower sucks!!!
Forgive yourself and move on. Don't allow last night to totally derail you. This is lifestyle change not a diet so you didn't cheat - you made choices. Do you track what you're eating? I find it helps me stay conscious... Track it, own it and move on!

Guess who hasn't taken any diabetic drugs since the night before being Sleeved
That is my favorite outcome by far of this surgery and lifestyle change! I've been off all my diabetic meds (Lantus, Symlin, Metformin and glimepiride) since two days prior to surgery. Now 4 months out - my fasting never gets above 125 and is usually around 108... I sleep through the night... I don't have to pee all the time... I don't have needle marks or huge bruises on my belly... It's truly awesome! Don't get me wrong... the weight loss has made me really really happy - but I did this surgery to help better manage my diabetes. I would love to be considered in remission for life! The sleeve rocks! Congrats to all of us that have taken this important step towards a healthier life!

Ugh! Another 1 pound week... wahhhh!

Ugh! Another 1 pound week... wahhhh!
I feel totally silly even complaining about any loss but I only lost a pound last week and again one pound this week. I stay within 700-800 calories a day. Get my Protein and most of my Water in. Always take my vites. Have increased my exercise to 4 times per week. I haven't had a true stall since surgery but my loss is not as dramatic as others. I'm not complaining to loudly... really... but I just worry. My surgeon expects me to lose 5 pounds per week... so I feel like a bit of a failure. My rational self knows this is total crazy talk. I measured myself this morning and I'm still losing inches - which is a relief. I guess I'm just venting about the slooooow way my body is releasing weight. I know - I know - when in my life have I ever lost 60 pounds in 4.5 months! I just have so much left to lose and I'm worried I may never get there. I'll stop whingeing and go off to Zumba and try to dance out my anxiety!

Pistachio ProteIn Muffins
I found the mini muffin pans at Bed Bath and Beyond but they also have some at Walmart. I ordered the mini donut pan from Amazon.com which I imagine also has mini muffin pans! Good luck and hope that you can find them soon. Mini muffins and donuts have sure helped me with my carb cravings... and Eggface bites recipes are awesome breakfast/snacks!
