Holly,

I too am a slave to the hunger. I prayed and prayed that my hunger issues would go away postop, but they did not!!

I have found that switching my PPI from Nexium to Prilosec has helped TREMENDOULSLY!!!! I am not sure if it is this or time after surgery or combination of both. I am only 3 months out, so I think it is more the PPI.

I still get hungy, but not like I did the frist 2 months agfter surgery. I am starting to notice that everyday is alot better and better!! Give it some time and if it doesn't improve, see if you can try other PPI's. Differnt ones work for differnt people!

Good luck! ;)

Wow, this thread is really inspirational! My surgery date was 5/17/11. To date I've lost 36 lbs. That includes the 4.5 lbs lost the week before surgery. My weight loss isn't stellar but I am very happy with every pound gone. I love not feeling like a slave to my appetite/ hunger. I hope that doesn't go away :)

40.0 lbs! Since May 26.

"Only" 2 days ago I found out that I could wear ALL my size 22 jeans, not just that one "generous cut" one -- including jeans that were a bit tight in Aug 2008, right before my wedding 3 YEARS AGO, and which now are totally comfy and not tight at all!

TOSSING OUT my 26s and 24s foreeeeeveeeeeeeer!!

Yay… yay us!

Surgery date: 04/18/2011

Weight the morning of surgery: 306

Weight this morning: 240

Pounds lost: 66 freaking pounds OFF MY BODY FOREVER!!!!!

Still have a long way to go, but I'm very happy with the results so far!!!

Surgery date: 7-11-11 Weight was 212.5

Today I'm 196.

Total loss of 16.5 lbs.

Last night I went shopping and put on a size XL top and size 16 pant. OMG....I have not been able to wear a 16 since 1998. :cheer2:

Hey Bryn!! I got ya beat for who is the baby!!!!! lol!

Surgery August 1st

6lbs gone! In 5 days!:P

Just waiting on my poor budda belly to heal..hehe

I'm down 38.4 lbs since surgery on May 17. I am now merely overweight, with less than 30 lbs to go till I'm at a normal BMI.

I'm closing in on losing 10% of my body weight for the second time since surgery. The day before surgery I weighed 222. About one month out I had lost 10% of my total body weight and was at 200. I'm now at 183. 6. Just 3.6 lbs. shy of losing 10% of my body weight for the second time!

I love you sleeve!

Lynda

Today is actually my one week mark from surgery. I haven't gotten on the scales yet!!!! I said I wasn't going to get on the scale until I go back to the Dr. next Thursday. So... next Friday I will be ready for feel good Friday !!! Congrats to everyone here on being such big "losers"!

Surgery date July 26th. Lost 14 lbs. I now have very beautiful slender feet. LOL

Khy

Can't wait to be on the" losers" bench too.

Congrats to all of you!

Natashad---I'm right there with you. I started my 6 month diet in May as well. Can't wait to be on the losers bench and have a success story to share!

Surgery day was May 3rd.

I have lost a total of 80 lbs.

Today I wore a T-shirt to work that I have never worn before because it never fit and one of the girls saw me walking down the hall and called me slim and said I was inspiring her to do something with herself. While I still have more than half of my excess weight to lose and I am not slim by any sense of the word, I felt really good today. Also, I need all new bras again, the girls are shrinking but honestly that is not a bad thing.

I never measured myself before surgery so the first time I measured myself was June 6th and as of today just about 2 months later I have lost 17.5 inches all around.

Surgery date 7/26.

I am down 15 pounds since surgery!

Loving the sleeve....

It's been much better losing since surgery than it was losing the 9 pounds I lost in 9 days of preop diet!!!

Sorry about that...don't know how that got posted so many times...wierd...

Surgery date January 17th

starting weight 249.8

today's weight 168.6

Total weight loss 81.2

Almost 7 months post-op

Pounds to goal 9
