  1.    Mommyto2 reacted to a post in a topic: 50 lbs GONE!!
  2. I had mine out a little over a week ago at almost 3 months out from VSG! I am struggling! I feel great. Went back to work on postoperative day 3, but I can't eat anything without hurting! I am all of the sudden having a hard time getting protein and liquids! Needless to say my stall is broken but my hair was falling out slowly and just yesterday clumps started falling out! I haven't found anything I can eat without hurting! Ugh!!!!!
  3. I cannot wait to be able to zip a pair of boots over my calf!!!!! That is awesome.
  4. I struggled with this the first month out but I am now 3 months out and somewhere about 3-4 weeks ago I quit struggling with this. It is much easier!
  5. I unfortunately had to have my gallbladder removed last thursday at almost 3 months out. My surgeon said everything looked great. No exposed staples. He does sew the stomach over the staples though so that probably makes a difference. The staples that are there do not have sharp points to hurt other organs... But scar tissue can form between them and other organs.
  6. Thank u both so much! It feels great!
  7. I am 10 weeks out from surgery and hit 199 two days in a row! Woohoo! Down 38 pounds since suegery but 55 pounds including preop diet! I have found a new "normal" with my eating and love it! Thank u to all of u who post regularly and keep the mire quiet ones motivated!!!!
  8. I am only 7 weeks out from surgery and I would absolutely do it again. I had no health problems other than 100lbs excess weight and the probelms that the future held, and I had a husband that wasn't very supportive. However, since surgery, he has even said that wether I lost anymore weight or not, it was worth it. I feel so much better! It is the best thing I could ever do for myself.
  9. It has happened to me when I ate too fast!
  10. I have been doing chobani vanilla Greek yogurt... 16 gprotein and 13g carbs. Have finally reached protein goal everyday this week eating that twice a day. Even stayed below 30g carbs.

  12. I am 4 weeks out and finally did it. I have hit my protein goal without going over on carbs and gotten my water in for the last 4 days! Better yet, I did it without protein drinks!!!!
  13. I will be out 3 weeks tommorrow and I have been sufferring similarly this weekend. I haven't actually vomited, but I have had to use some zofran and have struggled getting anything down. Today I am actually getting better from the cold standpoint and have done better with my food. HOpe you feel better soon.
  14. I fell victim tonight trying to get food in before church. Wound up sliming for the first time. I was actually wishing it would come back up. Misery.... Don't think I will be forgetting that real soon....
  15. I had surgery on July 26th and returned to a fairly physical job on August 1st. I acutally worked a 36 hour shift with only 1 hour of sleep and did well. It was actually easier for me to get my fluids and protein in when I was forced to be up and moving. Since that shift, I have worked daily and will work a 48 hour shift this weekend, hopefully with more sleep. I have done well, but I must admit it would have been nice to have a little more time off, but it was impossible.
  16. Sorry about that...don't know how that got posted so many times...wierd...
