8 months later weight loss is slower but still happy

Losing weight at a slower pace but still making progress. Went from a size 22 to 13/14 in 8 months. Lost 81 lbs. so far. Hope to reach my last 40 lbs. by my birthday in August!

Hey Lonna -- great job!! You and I must have been sleeved at the same time more or less -- :) You've done an outstanding job! :D

I'm a bit on the slow side, too -- so I'm glad to read your success in 8 months! Congrats to you!! :)

I think I'm only a month behind you and still haven't hit -70lbs yet...so I understand what you mean about being slow. I am wearing 14's now too.

But I am not focused on how long it takes, my body will do what it needs to do and we are losing and that is all that matters. I doubt that at 8 months I will have lost 80lbs so I think you are doing FANTASTIC!!!!

Celebrate your success!!!

I'm at 8 months and have lost about the same as you with about the same starting weight to lose. :) Good job, keep it up and we will get to goal!

Congrats on your success! You're doing great! I also don't think it matters how fast the weight comes off but that you ARE losing pounds and that you are getting healthier each day! I seem to lose slower too- and have to keep telling myself the same thing!:D

Congratulations on your success! I am also a slow loser which seems to make very pound a victory lately, so I know what you mean. Size 14 is a milestone! It's like we're finally normal, huh? Keep up the good work, you'll get there.

Congratulations! How wonderful for you--and that you're still losing, albeit maybe more slowly. Good luck in continuing to your goals!

Thank you! And yes it feels good to finally shop at the regular stores in the mall! I can fit some size 12's also! Congratulations on your weight loss as well! :D

Lonna,

that is great. Slow or not, a 13/14 is nothing to shrug at! You are doing a great job. Keep it up!!

Great job and I hope you meet your goal by August!smile.gif

Thank you very much!:D

I agree with everyone else here, CONGRATS ON YOUR SUCCESS!! I've lost 75 lbs in 8 months, so in comparison you're doing quite well. It is true too the further out you get the slower it is to come off. I've having to earn every single pound lost now!! It's not just melting off anymore like it did in the first 4 months or so. That's ok!! It will make me appreciate every one all the more.

Cheers to us "slow" losers!!!

ETA: I think pretty much when we are on the outside looking in everything always seems far more superb. But in looking at our individual success we can be more on the critical side. When really, I'd say majority of us lose % of body weight on nearly the same scale. :)
