I thought there were just a few things I couldn't wait for but reading everyone else's posts have me redoing my list!

1. Be in better health and come off heart and blood pressure meds

2. Get out of these size 24 jeans and into some "skinny" ones :P

3. Have room in the seat on the amusement park rides

4. Not be the girl everyone says has a "cute face though"

5. Sex is good but I can't wait to see what i'm like after! :D

6. Walk into Victoria Secret and have the sales[erson ask if I need help finding my size and not favorite fragrance

7. Coming back home and seeing my family so they can see I am okay :)

My list mimics most others but the one thing I really want is to be able to wear my original engagement and wedding ring. I weighed 145 when I got married 27 years ago. I have not been able to wear these rings since 1986. These were bought when my husband was in the military stationed in Germany-just a simple set he bought at the base store but they cannot be duplicated here in the states. I am now down to 168 and able to get the engagment ring on but not yet able to wear both bands together. Hopefully with another 10 lbs.

I can't wait to:

Feel better about my body. I miss the one I used to have.

Have a towel fit around me.

Knee high boots

Chase my son around all day at the park and not feel like I'm dying after.

Go on a hike with my husband

Not have people ask if I'm dieting if I don't order dessert at a restaurant

Not have people think "why is the fat girl ordering dessert" if I go out

Go ice skating again. I seriously miss this, but since I've grown larger I have a hard time with it.

Better sex. It's good now, but it will be better when I feel better about it.

Dressing my age again. There aren't that many plus size clothes that make you look like you're 22. lol.

Working a ten hour shift without horrible back pain at the end of the night. Seriously, I came home crying the other day. Not good.

After a few years, getting pregnant without all the complications I had with my son.

Being the confident, sassy woman I was, but I've been trying to get back to this for awhile now.lol.

Knee high boots!! I want some, too! I think by next winter I could have some, too!

I have loved reading the lists and could identify with almost all of them. It's amazing how similar our experience of being overweight has been.

So, I want the clothes and the better sex biggrin.gif I also want my Migraines to reduce (they will never go away, I've had them since elementary school) and I want my asthma to reduce ... I'm sure my lungs will work better if there is less blood being pumped through my big fat body to oxygenate :) of course it wont go away either, but an improvement will be nice biggrin.gif

oh, and my low blood pressure to improve !!!! no more fainting when I stand up too fast or look up at the ceiling would be lovely... biggrin.gif

and these gorgeous blue suede thigh-high boots I saw online the other day....

Mine are

1 - NOT wearing Cuddle Duds tights to bed so my thighs don't stick together

2 - illegal in 48 states kind of sex :D

3 - boots fitting over my calves

4 - NOT having to hear my Mother say "you used to be so pretty"

5 - breathing, just flat out being able to breath!

6 - never again telling my husband I'm starting another diet

I'm already "there" but this is such an exciting thread, I hope y'all don't mind if I post!!! "My favorite things" (as Oprah would say) during this journey we've all chosen to take are these:

Shopping, shopping, shopping!!! Going down a size is so stinkin' exciting! I just bought jeans in a size 4, a FOUR again yesterday, this is the third time, but every single time it makes me smile inside!! Never, ever did I dare dream this was possible. NEVER!

One day I woke up and I had a collar bone, that was probably my first NSV. I would say other than when I slipped into my first pair of size 6 jeans, this was the single most exciting thing. A collar bone, who knew I really had one!!!???? Now I have shoulder bones and hip bones. It's really amazing to me!!!

Someone saying I'm 'thin', 'small', 'little' or 'skinny'. The first few times, you'll want to look around to make sure they are really talking about you.....then you'll want to giggle!!!

These are a few of my favorite things!

I'm sooooo glad I didn't have anything "re-routed" and so glad I didn't get "banded" - I almost got the lapband, I considered it. Luckily I'm obsessive about research, and decided against it. I love my sleeve, forced Portion Control, it's just what I needed!!

I am looking forward to one thing the most.

Being the Mom I want to be. Running and playing with my 4 fabulous children at the park, taking them swimming, teaching them to ride horses, and going for bike rides.

Buying clothes that were not designed by Omar the Tent Maker and his Bedazzler.

Having wild monkey sex and not wishing he would just hurry up and finish because I am sooo tired.

Going off the diving board (weight limit 250 lbs.).

Running.

Going to my high school reunion and not being embarrassed.

Living.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
