I do not drink orange juice, but I do drink orange flavored Benefiber, per my NUT's instructions. It reminds me of Tang (remember when you were a kid?) and it fits my diet plan.

As for real orange juice I have no clue. I would imagine once you hit 6 weeks post-op it would be fine...don't forget to include it in your daily intake (or however you keep track.) My NUT is big on not drinking your calories.

Honestly orange Benefiber, Water, and a short Decaf coffee once a day is all I ever drink.

Greeting all,

When can you drink orange juice? I'm six weeks post op.

At six weeks I could eat or drink anything (except soda of course)...but check with YOUR doctor :)

I am 4 weeks post op today and I had orange juice for the first time on Christmas morning. For some reason I was craving it... I have not had any problems with it and it definitly took care of my craving!

Greeting all,

I plan on staying away from orange juice. To high in sugar I was told not to take in more then 8-10 grams of sugar at a time, however I'm wondering when I can have my grapefruit juice again...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
