Thx for asking that question I was wondering the same thingwink.gif

I do not drink orange juice, but I do drink orange flavored Benefiber, per my NUT's instructions. It reminds me of Tang (remember when you were a kid?) and it fits my diet plan.

As for real orange juice I have no clue. I would imagine once you hit 6 weeks post-op it would be fine...don't forget to include it in your daily intake (or however you keep track.) My NUT is big on not drinking your calories.

Honestly orange Benefiber, Water, and a short decaf coffee once a day is all I ever drink.

It actually helps settle my stomache.. Its packed with sugar though don't drink too much..

Greeting all,

When can you drink orange juice? I'm six weeks post op.

At six weeks I could eat or drink anything (except soda of course)...but check with YOUR doctor :)

I am 4 weeks post op today and I had orange juice for the first time on Christmas morning. For some reason I was craving it... I have not had any problems with it and it definitly took care of my craving!

I plan on staying away from orange juice. To high in sugar I was told not to take in more then 8-10 grams of sugar at a time, however I'm wondering when I can have my grapefruit juice again...

I dont even want to think about OJ right now. Im already overloaded on stomach acid lol.
