An NSV worthy of a post.

Recommended Posts

Today I was able to RUN up a flight of stairs. Then, I was able to trot down them rather quick too.

Interesting huh?

Ok, maybe not all THAT interesting - but if you would have seen me try to climb one flight of stairs 2 months ago, you would feel me on this... lol I have completely damaged both of my knees being severely and morbidly obese for 20 years.

That is all.

Congrats on your accomplishment. I am looking forward to doing that myself. I have also struggled with knee pain. I have had 7 knee surgeries with the later being a year ago. I can't wait for the say when I can move around with less pain in my knees.

Irene, that's soooo exciting. I live on the 4th floor of an old Victorian building with no elevator. Every day it takes me FOREVER to get up the stairs as I trudge, trudge, trudge up them (and God forbid I should be carrying groceries)! It's so exciting to think I might someday be able to fly up them!!! That is one of the best NSVs, I think!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
