Hi Clive! Welcome to the Forums. You're in the right place, and will learn a lot here.

I know it's mostly women who post here, but there are a number of guys who post, too. I haven't yet had my surgery, but hope to do so within the next few months. Keep reading the forums, and check profiles on the men who post here. A lot have links to other sites with more about their stories.

Good luck!

Dave

Hi Clive,

I am a woman having this surgery, but my husband is also having it too. (Although I'm first <Oct. hopefully> and my nutritionist joked about me being the guinea pig lol.) His surgery will hopefully be in Dec. I have my doubts that I could get him to join a message board though. Maybe if I tell him about the guys here needing to support each other.

Best of luck to you!

Well I have made the decision to see the Surgen about getting Sleeving.

There are a few of us guys around. I had my sleeve done almost a month ago. Love it. I can see the lbs coming off, and clothes are fitting <much> better.

This week I got my first 2 "outsider" compliments! It was exciting. My wife complements me all the time, but she knows what to be looking for.

Good luck!

Welcome to the board. My husband went through the surgery at the same time I did. (same day in fact) he doesn't post on the forum but, I wanted you to know there are a lot of guys out there that do this surgery too. : )

Congrats on getting things going and glad you are feeling better about the sleeve. As I said I was first to go under the knife and my huband will have his sleeve in late Dec. (hoping for that anyway!) and just the other day he said "I can't wait to have my sleeve"...so I think after he has seen me go through the whole process, he is ready to have his too and join the losers bench!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
