Hi, Surgery tomorrow and I'm amazingly calm. I just wanted to join this thread for future use. Great ideas.......I'm looking forward to getting to this stage.

I've got an idea which I'm going to be trying this week when I swap to mushies....

Corned beef - mixed with onions (dry fry the onions off to soften them), then top with cottage cheese which you have mixed with a beaten egg, maybe adding a bit of mixed herbs of tarragon in with the egg mix too. They are like a quiche - with the corned beef being the 'pastry' base.

I'm going to try making them in a muffin tin, so I get bite size ones - the texture is mushy so I think they'll go down a treat, and when I've made it before although I made one big version they were good hot or cold.

Try this--it's like a mushy deviled egg thing.

Makes 4 servings

4 medium eggs, boiled

Dice eggs and put in food processor with 2 TB low-fat mayo, 1 tsp dried minced onion, 2 tsp Dijon mustard, 2 tsp paprika, salt and pepper to taste. Puree it, divide into 4 servings, and mush out!

You can try some baby food too. The small jars are a good size.

Wow, suchj great ideas! I'm so bored on full liquids I could just shoot someone! Saturday brings me to mushies, and I know I'm going to be a happier person because of it! These are great ideas, and they're on my shopping list! You guys are wonderful!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
