I am in the hosptial

I've been having gall bladder problems for a couple of months. I was trying to hold out until January since I have $1,000 deductible. Last night I was in so much pain, I had to go to the ER.

It turns out the gall stones blocked a duct and now I have

pancreatitis. The only thing that fixes that is nothing by mouth until further notice. I guess I will be losing that last 5 lbs that is so hard to lose.

I would imagine I will be having surgery sometime this week.:thumbup1:

Sorry to hear you are sick Judy. Being nauseous is a horrible feeling. I hope you get over whatever bug you caught!

Thanks Newmom. I am home from the hospital and feeling sore, but nothing like the pain I had when I entered the ER.

Thanks! It sure feels good to be home.

Daisy - glad you are home - you will feel better quicker being home and in your own bed, etc. I wish you a speedy recovery.

KyHen - sorry to hear you're so sick - take care of yourself and try and get in some fluids so you don't become dehydrated. LoCal Gatorade or something to help increase your electrolytes is important. Keep us posted on how you're doing.

Yes, Judy! let us know how you are doing! I hope you're feeling better.

The stupid dr. has been here every day this week at 6am sharp to wake me up.Now when I want him to release me, it's 8:20 and he is nowhere to be found. I am afraid he is in surgery and it will be much later til I see him.:sad0::mad:

GRRRRRRRRR.

Hope you are home soon.

Thanks! I got out around 9 am yesterday. I couldn't stand siting there raising my bill by the seconds.

How are you feeling now, Daisy?

Daisy,

welcome home! Glad thats behind you now. did you drop those 5 lbs? Just wondering if any good came out of it? LOL Hope your holidays are stress free from here on out!

If she did, it might not show up for a few days. I know every time I have ever been on IV fluids for a few days I always show a gain for the first couple of days I come off of them, and then I suddenly have a drastic loss.

I hope to show a loss in a few days. I sure don't feel like eating.

This is more painful than I expected and way more painful than sleeve surgery. I had to sneeze a litle bit ago, and it hurt like hell in my side, I guess where the gall bladder used to be.

Daisy! Sorry about this! i hope you feel better soon. Surgery is always one of those things that just gets worse before it gets better and hopefully rreeeeaaaally better. Sounds like recovery wont be fun but as long as you can get through day to day you will be happier overall. Thinking of you and sending lots of good energy.

get better dasiy! and a speedy recovery! can ask if it was the weightloss that caused the gallbladder to go bad?
