*SCARED* I have a stretched pouch...

Recommended Posts

Please let me know what your doctor says, it sounds like what happens to me. I get too tight and have reflux, they unfil me and then I am too loose. I have also noticed an issue with liquids, especially if I have eaten within a few hours.. it is quite weird, meanwhile my weight loss is totally stalled...

I think we are in the exact same boat. Before my last unfill, I would eat and not be able to drink even hours later. As soon as I would fall asleep, I would start choking everything up. No matter how early I ate it. I am also at a plateau since this started happening.

I will definitely let you know what he says. I am going to ask him about the 5 day pouch test diet as well.

Hi Thin!

My doctor scheduled me for an upper GI for next Wednesday. He said he will let me know after he looks at the results. He did still proceed with the fill, so I am on liquids for the next couple days anyway, so I decided to try the 5 day pouch test.

Question - Why is it that every time I get a fill and am on stictly liquids do I start dreaming of big greasy cheeseburgers??? (Not that I've had one in over a year, but I still dream of them!! LOL)

I had a very tiny dilation noticed because of an upper gi for acid reflux at night. They removed about 0.25cc's from my band in the hopes it would help. Today was my follow up upper gi and now it has either gotten way worse or I have a slip (the pouch is so big they couldn't tell). My only symptoms were heartburn/reflux. That is still all it is. I got a total unfill for 30 days and we will see where it goes from there. I feel so lost! I was doing so well and just really don't want a setback and REALLY don't want another surgery

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
