I'll jump into the group and say hello to all and good luck to those still awaiting their surgeries. There are a lot of great WLS docs in TX, so I feel we are all so lucky to live here and benefit from their expertise.

I had to go "wedding ring" shopping today for a fake wedding ring. My old one is huge on my finger now and I'm not ready to re-size it yet. This is my second "fake" ring since my revision surgery. Just one of those non-scale victories we all talk about.

Also, my husband is out of town at a large conference. We work together, so most of our business associates have met me in the past. He's been showing everyone my pic on his cell phone (the same one as my avatar), and being proud of my progress. One guy I've known for over 10 yrs mistook me for my 22yr old daughter (he's old and needs glasses - so I can understand the mistake - ha!). Living in this body just feels so weird now - weird and wonderful.

Wow! Who would have thought you would be mistaken for a 22 yo! You do look very young for your age. (hope that didn't sound like a backsided compliment, not meant to) Your pictures and words definitely inspire me! Can't wait for my surgery!!!!

I live in Cedar Hill (sw suburb of Dallas). If anyone would like to chat or even get together for exercise, etc. Please drop me a line. I need to widen my support group and would really like to have people in it that have been thru or are going thru the same things I am.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
