I need you all to put your heads together and get creative for me.

The situation is that I am having guests next weekend.

dinner will be involved.

I will still be on mushies.

They don't know about the surgery and I ain't telling.

They usually expect big things from me as I am an amateur chef.

Now that you know the details. What can I cook that will be good, that I can have at least some of and won't be too obvious that I'm on mushies?

All suggestions will be appreciated.

wow that is one heck of a challenge rb -- i will have to give this some serious thought and will be interested to see what others who have more experience have to say. (sorry for the caps, i was too lazy to go back and change them)

You can have Pasta on a soft diet and you can also have flaky fish like tilapia or flounder. How about making some 4 cheese lasagna or serving ravioli? You can also have a mushed up meatball so spaghetti and meatballs or baked ziti and meatballs would work. If you like french food, go for a quiche (easy to make).

Good suggestions. I can make the meatballs really tiny and they won't notice if I don't take more than a couple.

Fish is always a good option.

lasagne is good because you can eat the middle.

Anything meatloaf like. Meatloaf is not fancy like something you would make for company, but it's that

texture you're going to need.

Hey I think there are cook books for people with WLS.

I know at LBT there is a food section with lots of recipes.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
