Recommended Posts

Ok so we live about 1 hour from the hospital that I am having surgery at. I want to pack a bag so I have my needs covered on the way home just in case I need something and to have my laptop with me as well. So Far in my bag I plan to have my my laptop, my Itouch, Gas X, Going to have my a Pillow in the car for the ride home. Any other suggestions for my bag of tricks?

I was banded yesterday and the only thing I took was comfy clothes. My car ride home was thirty minutes but I don't remember much of it. A blanket and a pillow should be all you need!

The only thing I took was my clothes and a pillow for the ride home. I was only in the hospital for 4 hours though. The only thing that bothered me was riding home the bumps in the road kind of hurt and when the car turned a corner.

Did it not seem like the roads were bumpier than normal!!!

Personally I would also take a few extras just in case they keep you overnight. When I went in I expected to go home the same day but much to my surprise I had to stay the night and I was totally unprepared for that. Just a suggestion.

Loose fiiting attire like a night gown or sweats extra pair of underwear and don't worry about a bra just something to cover you and a heating pad and ask for the pain meds that they give you after cause their is pain when you try to get up the few days after and take it slow and heal some of us had to sleep in our recliners I had to have my hot water bottle as I had bad back pain after and I had to have a lot of pillows behind me when I got hoe so if I neede to get up to do anything, and when I was in bed same thing but as I progressed I could take a few pillows away to sleep when I was in bed and I have a adjustable bed so I hope this helped.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
