If you don't feel you enough Fluid in your band, then why haven't you gone back in for another fill?

Also, keep in mind fills won't make you lose weight. They are meant to dim your hunger and keep you satisfied on much less food. Losing weight happens when you consume you less calories than you burn and that is up to you, not the band. The band just makes it easier because you're not nearly as hungry.

Follow up with your surgeon and let him help you.

See if you can make an appointment sooner, and try to keep track of your calorie intake in the meantime. It's not a magic bullet but it does help to know what's going in.

I've had 2 fills and I know I'll need another when I see the Dr. in Sept. They only like to do fills once every 4 weeks to give your body a chance to adjust. They say it takes 2 weeks to feel the effects of a fill, but for me I find in 2 week's time I know I need another one. I was hoping this one would be enough but it's not there yet. I am hungry again too soon after eating and I am able to eat more in a sitting then I think I should be to satisfy that hunger. So I think I need some more Fluid placed, but I too will have to wait until my appt. in Sept. so I am tracking, and trying my best to keep exercising when I can.

I have check ups once per month, when I come in they do a questionnaire to determine if I need a fill or not and how much I need. I attribute my success with the band to my doctor having me get my first fill three weeks to the day of my surgery and having my appointments on a monthly basis timed exactly to the date of the first fill I got. I don't understand how surgeons are allowing people to go months without getting checked and or getting fills done. It seems like that would be a serious hold up in your progress. I know I start to feel hunger about 3 days before my next visit and they often give me a fill and it works every time.

I make it sound like I've been through this a lot..l've only had 3 fills - 2 at the WL center and one at my surgeon's office because the first fill wasn't quite enough...

I go in on the 11th of September for another fill, but I am having another sort of small issue . Sense I got my last fill I have had some trouble breathing. Not really bad or anything but still enough to concern me. It's sort of like someone is Squeezing my lungs. It might not have anything to do with the band but I don't know what else could be causing it.

trouble breathing? need to make a call to your dr (and lap band doctor) as this is NOT normal

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
