Hello banded July 31st and I have 4 cc's in my band. I don't feel restricted as I did when I first got banded why is that I eat a whole cup of food not half of cup. Is my band pouch stretched out or what? I'm scared.

Because when you were first banded your stomach was still swollen from surgery. It is normal to be more hungry as swelling goes down. You will feel more restriction once you begin to get fills.

At 2 1/2 weeks post op, any post op swelling has probably diminished. Therefore, you may be in whats known as Bandster Hell...that period of time between surgery and when your band has been properly adjusted to provide that hunger/portion control. It may take one, two or several adjustments to reach that level....known as the "green zone"....when the band does its job. Do not worry....just do your best limiting portions ( just like any other diet ) and stick to the TYPES of food you have been prescribed to "eat".

Same thing happened to me. As a rule of thumb, I set my timer for every four hours; however, if it has been only three hours since i last had something to eat and I'm hungry, I eat a controlled portion of something HIGH in Protein, like cottage cheese or an egg.

What catfish said! Are you following your surgeon's food options? I was only on liquids still at your point. I ate when I was hungry, but did not exceed my recommended amount. Restriction will come later, healing is for now!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
