Hello everyone. I was banded on July 1st. I am finally feeling like my old self again. I was wondering when everyone's doctor said they can exercise again? I have gone on walks everyday, but would like to do more.

Hi sprinkle!!!! Yes, I was definitely hungry! I can tell the difference between hunger and gas as of today. I call the nutritionist and to her I was so hungry I felt dizzy and nausea. She told me to eat a couple of ounces of mashed potatoes that have been thinned with milk . I did and those were the best mashed potatoes I ever ate!!!!! I could only eat about an ounce though.

Yes I am so happy to get the staples out, I am definitely healing and my stomach itches!!!!!!

This one has me the most concerned. It is the least painful of the bunch but there is a deeper "seam" on it. And it is not all that deep - I've cut myself deeper and been fine. I'm just obsessing.

Love the thigh tat.... mine is yellow like that too

Also sorry for the tmi but I haven't had a bm since the morning of my surgery. I have take milk of magnesia 3 days in a row and no result. Any suggestions on what else I could be taking?

I would do a fleet Enema!!! You'll feel so much better;) you don't want to go longer then 3-4 days without a bowl movement

Feeling something akin to a pulled muscle where i believe the port is. Currently most painful part of healing for me.

Trying activated charcoal for gas. Gas-x hasn't helped me. Walking helps some but not entirely. Hopefully this moves a bit of the gas in my cavity outta my life!

If that helps, for the love of god, please post. I still feel like I am being stabbed from the gas....

Sadly, since I was banded in Mexico, I feel like I am on my own. I found a diet program for lapband patients online and I think it will work the best. I am beyond hungry, as you all know from hearing me piss and moan. I am sick and tired of broth and Popsicles.

For those who care, this will be the dietary plan I am going to follow

Thanks! I spoke to the nurse at my surgeon's practice and she said it was fine to remove them since they were starting to itch... But i wish I'd seen your post before I did. There is a slight opening in my skin :(

You can buy steri strips at most pharmacies. If the skin is still moist, not dry and healing on the exposed edges, you can steri strip it back closed tight and see if will heal smoothly. Even if it's kind of dry I would try it just to keep in closed and covered so it doesn't get infected.

I had glue but it stayed coming off after my first shower, and 2 of my incisions were a little bit open. I put new steri strips on per the Dr office and am letting them fall off on their own.

I will def report back! First hour or two after taking it was just rumbles. Starting to pass gas now. Unsure if it is related.

Did you have a pre surgery diet? I think that is what is helping me now - knowing I've already made it almost 3 weeks on liquids. You can do this! It's tough but will be so worth it!

Thanks! The air seems to be doing them a lot

Of good actually. I will check the pharmacy tho.

I forgot you started a new thread.

Hi everyone banded 7-11 too.

I finally had a nm but it didnt feel like enough. I felt blah today, still a few gas pains.

I concerned that I'm not eating enough, I'm not very hungry. I've mostly had Jello and propel. I'm on full liquids per my doc, i can't get into the broth.

How often are some of you eating and drinking?

Are any of you on yogurt or is that a soft food?

Has anyone tried the healthy choice Greek frozen yogurt?

I'm not on yogurt yet but I think I can in a week or

two. I love chicken broth - even before all of this. I particularly love manishevitz brand. I am drinking my Protein Drinks basically all day. I used to gulp and have been careful to sip now but it take forever.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
