Hi all! I'm 17 days post op. Never had any pain in my incisions at all. A lil soreness the first few days. Yesterday I had a very busy day & last night as I was sitting down I got a very sharp strong pain in my port site. I've been freaking out ever since. I don't want to move much bc I'm afraid it will happen again. Woke up w soreness & a mild pain that comes & goes. My port sits right where my pants sit. Could this be aggravating it? Any ideas of this is normal considering it has never hurt?

The port site is the last to heal. As it is sewn to the muscle wall, activity may irritate it. I am surprised your surgeon put ti close to your pants line, most are higher up. I think it will likely move as you lose weight. It is normal to have some part pain. If I overdue my abs exercises, I can have pain even now at 20 months. Good luck to you!

I had the same thing happen to me. My port sits in between my wire bra and the band of my pants so when I sit down I have to be real careful. It started a few days after I was banded and has slowly gotten better it has been about six weeks now and I just have to watch if I bend over when I am sitting. My Dr. said it was normal it is just the port, and should get better with time. Sometimes I have to undue my pants.Lol That may be the same thing going on with you.

The port area is last to heal. Since is sewn to the muscle it can get irritated with a lot of activity and bending. I am 20 months since surgery and can still get soreness if I overdo my abs work.

I'm 2 months post op and I still have that sharp pain once in awhile. My port is very close to my pants line also.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
