After fill diet... What does your doctor have u do?

Recommended Posts

I got my first fill today woo hoo lol. 3.5 ml in my 10ml band. I am just curious what other doctors have you do for your diet after a fill since preop diets seem to vary so much doctor to doctor. My doctor has me on Clear Liquids for two days then a day of soft then back to a regular diet. How about you?

I usually go in for my fills around lunch time. He asks me to drink fluids for a couple hours and then back to normal eating, softer items though. Have had 2 fills with no complications. As you said, they are all different. Good luck!!

I had my first fill yesterday too, I was told liquids for a day or two depending on how I'm feeling. Then soft foods for another day or two, then back to normal foods. I'm feeling good, was starving yesterday. Hoping the fill helps, they say it can take 2 weeks until u feel the restriction.

Solids up to 4 hours before the fill, liquids up to 1 hour before, then full liquids for 24 hours, mushy/soft for 24 hours, then back to regular. Now that I have enough fills to get stuck, back to liquids or very softs for 24 hours after being stuck.

I hadn't heard that it may take two weeks to feel restriction. I felt restriction before I had my fill but it did not last more then an hour and I was starving! I can't wait to start my soft foods tomorrow... hate liquids!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
