Every Sunday I weigh myself first thing in the morning. Does anyone know if this is the best time to do it? I weighed myself this morning and I was 212 and about an hour later I weighed myself again and I was 218. Should I go by my weight first thing in the morning or is there a better time of the day to weigh myself?

Try to do the same thing every time. Best would be after u get out of bed and empty your bladder. Weight will fluctuate throughout the day.

6 pound difference in an hour? I think something is wrong with your scale!

I normally have 1-3 lbs difference but never 6lbs! I think your right time to buy a new scale!

And it's probably not a good idea to weigh yourself again after an hour. First thing in the morning, after a trip to the loo, I have found is the most consistent.

I am a firm believer in only getting on the scale first thing in the morning, after using the bathroom. I think what you may drink and eat as well as other factors like hormones et... affect weight through out the day.

I agree doesnt matter what time of day as long as its around the same time. Also be careful about weighing yourself too much. If you choose to weigh often you have to be prepared to deal with your body fluctuations.

Same here, I weigh myself once a week on Sunday morning after I have used the restroom and with no clothes to ensure consistency. Do you maybe just need a new battery (thinking it's a digital). Mine was acting up not too long ago and it just needed a new battery.

I weight every morning and mark it on my calendar (which is right under this computer) and that way I can see how it changes daily. then I keep the lowest weight recorded in my head at true...when I go to the doctors anytime late is 5-6 lbs heavier. all diet plans will tell you once a week and at the same time is the best.

I weigh every monday after a quick trip to the potty. No clothes same time each weigh. Also I agree many factors will cause a fluctuation in your weight...even having sex. Be consistent.; )

For those of you who weigh more often or even daily, what are the types of weight fluctuations that you encounter? Is there a cutoff when you know something went wrong? For example, a 5lb difference between Monday and Tuesday, you know you gained?

I weigh myself every morning, but I only record it when I have a loss. Obviously, I don't lose every single day, and there are times I can go up to 2 weeks without a loss. When I do stall, I always stay within a few pounds of my lowest weight, so I know it's not a true gain. I just know that as long as I'm sticking to the rules, eating within my calories, and exercising my weight will eventually go down.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
