55 pounds down!
It was the best decision I ever made in my life. The first week is rough so don't get discouraged!

55 pounds down!
Haven't posted in a while but just wanted to share. I am almost 10 months post op and down 55 pounds. While there are days I hate this band (like now as I'm trying to eat chicken breast) the positives definitely outweigh the negatives!

HELP! Lapband foods!
Carbonated drinks? Most banders aren't even allowed to drink them.

On my third week post op and ot losing weight
Yes completely normal. When you start introducing food back into your diet that will happen. You didn't gain 5 pounds of fat, just give yourself time to stabilize again. You've lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time.

Anti inflammatories
Every doctor is different. I can take ibuprofen without a problem. My doc says its fine. But, you should check with YOUR doc!

People notice portion size...what do you tell them?
I've told everyone. You shouldn't be ashamed or embarrassed. This is just a tool to help you lose weight.

Being REALISTIC
I see so many posts on here of people looking for a quick fix. People who say I've only lost 25 pounds in a month......I've been banded for 4 months and I'm down 27 pounds. I've have been very good about what I eat and exercise a lot. Should I have lost more? Probably. But I'm still down 27 of which without the band I know I wouldn't be down any, if not up. So be grateful for small losses or any for that matter, and don't expect to lose a ton of weight quickly.

Heartburn?
Banded 4 months ago, and starting a few days ago I began experiencing heartburn after every meal. Should I be concerned? No other problems, just heartburn!

Question to those who have been Banded 6 months+???
Maybe a stupid question but if you have a BMI of 30 why did you get lap band surgery?

Is PB'ing bad for band?
Thank you all for the very valuable information. Im gonna try chewing better, eating slower and softer foods and see how it goes!

Is PB'ing bad for band?
I don't know how much smaller a bite I can take! I'm probably too tight. I was considering an unfill and then it got a little better but maybe I need to have it done.

Is PB'ing bad for band?
Hi all. I got my 4th fill last week and am quite tight. I PB multiple times at each meal. Is this bad for the band?
-
Unfill ;-(
Had a fill a week ago yesterday and I swear its gotten tighter! So much so that I'm going for a small unfill Thursday. Really can't handle any solids! I was at 3.5 and went to 3.9. I think 3.7 is my magic number!
