  3. Everyone heals differently. I personally have a low pain tolerance, and I had ALOT of swelling which just now started to subside. However, I was banded on July 25th and it took me about three weeks to feel normal. If I had to go back any sooner I probably would have been miserable lol. But, with pre op dieting and post op I've lost 40 pounds and yesterday my co workers were being extremely nosey. They wante to know why I wasn't eating the bagel breakfast and why I wasn't eating the sub sandwiches that our school provided for us. And I really didn't think people would care, so I was a little irritated lol. Teachers are nosey and like to gossip that's for sure
  4. Did anyone else get the lapband with plication? I am three weeks post-op and had this procedure on July 25th. I always feel so swollen still and I can't even imagine getting a fill anytime soon... I feel like I'm constantly choaking and I don't even like eating period at this point. Does anyone else experience this? Could it be from the plication? FYI I've seen a doctor and nothing physically seems wrong

  6. Yes all of this is true. It just sucks because I've found that NSAIDs are the best form of pain relief for myself. So guess I just gotta stick it iut
  7. Yes I started using liquid children's Tylenol however that is not helping this type of pain. I am use to taking toradol for my endometriosis pains and my doctor has told me to stop taking that, which is really sad because that and aleve is all that works. Imma def call him tomorrow! Thanks for all of your responses
  8. Hello! So I am three weeks post-op and have been experiencing alot of pain in my teeth and mouth. I went to the dentist today and she said I have some inflammation because I grind my teeth at night, which is causing discomfort. I told her that all I can take is children's Tylenol and she said that won't cut it, I need to take an anti-inflammatory. Does anyone have any ideas as to medications that we can take post-op because my dr has said no aspirin like products ever again?

  10. You got this! Just pray about it.
  11. I struggled with this as well. People don't seem to support because they don't understand. Like they mentioned before if you are not mentally prepared you should wait. However, this is something you should do for yourself an no one else. I don't have the biggest support system but I'm okay with tht because I am my biggest support.
  12. Thank you!!! The heating pad has become my best friend lol
  13. I was banded yesterday on July 25th and I am still having trouble swallowing my medicine. My dr gave me lortab liquid that says to take 30 ml every four hours. He also wants me to take prednisone 30 ml every 4 hours, but I can't take swallowing all that. Did anyone else have this problem? Does anyone have any advice as to tips that help with the pain??? Thanks in advance
  14. That's amazing!!! Keep up the great work :-)
  15. Had surgery today July 25th and was outpatient. I'm In so much pain but having a hard time swallowing the pain medicine. Who else had this problem? They want me to take In 30mls each time and I can hardly get down 10mls and also take prednisone 30mls. ???”

  18. So my new surgery date is July 25th. I am starting my liquid diet today and I am very nervous. It may be because my family isn't very supportive. How are some of you overcoming the negative feedback from family and friends? Because it is making me want to do this alone
  19. So my surgery date is scheduled for July 22 and my all liquid diet starts tomorrow. I am currently on antibiotics does anyone know if that is okay???
