I took exactly one week. I do have to move during the day for my job so I needed those few extra days. Good luck to you!

Yes one week. I couldn't lift anything heavy but back to work normally. I have heard some people up and back to normal in 72 hours.

One week for me and my job is physically draining. It was perfect. I think i would have been fine after 3 or 4 days to do a desk job.

I took a week, I also have a desk job. I had a pretty non eventful recovery, no pain, no sleeping problem, was walking around right away. I had surgery on a Monday and probably could have worked by Friday, but given the distance and my follow up appt, went back to work the following Tues.

I work for the State so I sit all day at my desk as well 8 - 5 so I took off for one week but I had a little issues with the pain in my left should and ended up taking off a total of 8 working days.

After the surgery MAKE SURE TO TAKE YOUR GAS-X AND WALK AROUND!! Trust me -- it helps. Good Luck :)

I'm a desk jockey too but I took two weeks off and was glad of it. General anaesthetic always leaves me feeling knocked around for about a week. Try to have flexibility so that you can return when you are well enough but not before.

Desk job, 3 days plus the weekend. All good. Was tired at end of my first day back to work but by the next day I was good. I would've been bored at home if I'd have stayed home any longer.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
