Was never overweight until mid 40's...then it seemed to be so difficult to lose or maintain so I lost sight of myself, gave up, gave in. Then something clicked, I realized how important I am to my family and most importantly to me. I wanted to be healthy, I wanted to be free of the pain that comes with excess weight. I had an ah ha moment, had my surgery and haven't looked back. Best thing I've ever done for myself.
