  11. I haven't been on here in a long time. I seemed to have gotten used to life with the band....which is a good thing! One year ago today, I had my lap band surgery. I went from 241.3 pounds to 153 pounds! My BMI went from over 38 to 24.5. I am considered a normal weight. I am now between a size 8 and a 10. My husband and I have been together for 10 years and he has never seen me this small. And I still haven't had a fill!! All this from just having the band put it! I am feeling great and couldn't be happier. Actually just had a family photo shoot and love the pictures! LIFE IS WONDERFUL!!
  12. I usually have a chocolate calcium chew at night if I crave something sweet.
  13. I haven't posted in a long time. I can understand why there aren't many long time bandsters on this site. You just learn to live with the with band and almost forget it is there! I was banded on November 12, 2012. In that time, I surprisingly haven't needed a fill. I went from 241.3 lbs and a size 18 to 157 lbs and a size 10, almost an 8. I haven't been smaller than a large top in the last ten years and now I am wearing a medium or a small. I have three more pounds to make it to my goal...and my doctor's goal! No real complications, just some minor reflux. Life is great!! I am happy if I don't loose another pound!! Thanks for listening to me brag!! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  14. I thought it would be funny to try on my wedding dress for my kids this weekend. I knew it was going to be loose but wasn't really prepared for what happened. It was so big it barely stayed up! It is at least three sizes too big! What a great 8th anniversary present....my husband has never seen my this small. LOVE MY BAND!! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

  19. I really can't remember ever being a medium! Thanks for all the encouraging words from everyone!! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  20. I went shopping today and bought not only one but three medium tops and one medium dress!! I started at a 1x but probably should have been wearing a 2x. LOVING MY BAND!!!! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  21. How about a warm chocolate shake? I have had them before and they kinda taste like hot chocolate. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

  24. I am a high school teacher so I understand. I have a shake on the way to school and then have a small snack (almonds, cheese stick, small Protein Bar, etc) at about 9:30 if needed. Eat a sensible lunch at 12:30 and then I don't usually eat dinner until around 7pm. If needed, I have another small snack at 3:30 but most of the time I am ok. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  25. I find I can eat at any restaurant. I plan the rest of my meals around going out so I don't get that far of track. Most places have grilled chicken or a Soup option. I actually just got home from dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. My husband wanted a steak. I ordered a Cobb salad with the dressing on the side and only ate about a third of it. The rest is for my husband's lunch tomorrow. Good luck in your journey! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  26. What's done is done. Look forward to what can be. Just because you can eat past your band, doesn't mean that you should. Measure your food and don't eat past that point. As you stated, you already spent thousands of dollars on the band....get the most out of your investment. Focus on Protein first. Plan your meals for the week. Make a plate of food and put the rest away so you aren't tempted to have seconds. I know it is hard but you have to put your mind to it. The band can only take you so far....you have to do the rest!! 27. I read all the time. Very excited for the summer so I can read more. I am reading Fly Away right now by Kristin Hannah. It is the sequel to Firefly Lane. I also highly recommend Bright Young Things and The Luxe! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
