Food feeling stuck and uncomfortable

Recommended Posts

I had my lapband surgery over 4 years ago so even though I've been doing this for quite awhile, I still struggle with food sitting comfortably. For instance, the past week or so no food of any substance (vegetables, proteins) has sat comfortably in my stomach. I pretty much always struggle with Protein of any kind, even when I cook it down so it's really tender. I follow all the suggestions about eating slowly, measuring food out, etc.

I'm just struggling right now and need some support. Any tips would be really appreciated.

Do you have fill in your band? Sounds like you're a bit tight. I would call the doctor about a small unfill. Good luck to you!

Kelly Elliot monitors about 3 different support groups in and around Denver. If you go to one of them you can pimp her for some free advice? She's my nut and she's awesome.

Sorry you are struggling. Are you also ensuring you are eating tiny bites, pausing till fully swallowed and then on to next bite? I know you are a veteran bander but sometimes a "refresher" is in order.

If you are following those guidelines, perhaps you do need a slight unfill or perhaps there is something going on w/ the band.

I hope you are back to "normal" soon. If it doesn't improve, I would suggest calling your dr.

I too would suggest calling your doctor. You may be too tight. Sounds that way to me.

Hi- I get stuck often I have 9.5 cc in my band and I am tight. You might have to go and take a little Fluid out-you will feel the difference!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
