Banded this morning!! Got there at 5 am' date=' they started surgery at 7:30. I was out by around 9 am. They let me go home at noon! My throat hurts a little from the tube, the gas pains have already decreased to very minimal in my shoulders and really wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. I bought the gas-x, havent used it though. Ive slept off and on all day, they have me on tylenol with codine. No vomiting! Maybe im just lucky, but also thankful. they have me drinking clear liquid 1 oz every hour. I just opened my first sugar free Jello, taking very slow, it does feel different goin down. Im burping alot, lol. I also tried some top ramen broth, but for whatever reason am more comfortable with Water for now. Its pretty sore getting up from the bed or sitting, happy to have my fiance here to help get me up <3. Other then that just hanging out with my heat pad. Oh i did walk for about 15 mins and am pretty sure thats why the gas pains arent as bad. I might go again. Anyway, good luck guys and to the ones who have already done it, hope u are feeling better each hour![/quote']

You get fruit? ?? Dang, I can only have 3 Protein Shakes, broth if I can't stand it any longer, and popsicles. I'd love an apple I can chew on! :)

Hello everyone! Congrats to all of you that have had your band installed in the last week! I hope you all are recovering nicely and getting some rest.

I have made it! Today is day 10 of my liquid diet and I am being banded tomorrow morning! I report to the hospital at 9:30 am and surgery is scheduled for 11:30 am. Of course we are due for a snow storm tonight through Friday, so I hope that doesn't mess it up at all! Good luck to all of my March 7th friends! See you after it's all over with!

Oh my gosh - here I am on day 3 of the liquid hell. My surgeon require 14 days of Optifast. First two days were horrible. Today, not so bad. But maybe I am just resigning myself to it. March 18th cannot come quick enough.

I love that the new post-ops are posting - we are definitely following your journey and your news, tips and feelings are priceless to us. Thanks for the posts.

So I haven't posted again since I started my Pre-Op Diet...I am on Day 6 and I only have 8 DAYS before my surgery! Seems like I have waited on this forever but now it seems to be coming so fast!! At least I am losing weight already (11 pounds down since Friday!!!) ...my doctor requires ONLY liquids for 2 weeks before...so fat free chicken broth for me at lunch again today..The first couple of days were rough but now I'm doing really good with it...starving of course, but handling it much better than I thought I would! Good luck to everyone getting banded this month and I look forward to hearing how everyone is doing!!

Ok guys I found 100cal Greek yogurt key lime and I'm in heaven!!!! I am having a very hard time getting all my fluids in though. I never was good about drinking and it's so hard for me without a straw. My goal today is one water bottle on top of all my other fluids :/ and that's not that much!!!

Banded today! Belly is kinda sore, but those of you who haven't been yet, make sure you MOVE after surgery to get the gases to go! That's honestly the most uncomfortable part. I was the 2nd one done & the 1st to leave today ???„. Good luck to everyone

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
