15 days post op and still no weight lost. I go to the gym and work out everyday and I follow the menu plan as best as I can. Should I be concern because I'm feeling like a failure already :(

Don't even worry!!! You are swollen and stitched and all that. My weight loss didn't pick up until I started solids about 4 weeks post op. You are doing just fine...take it easy, continue to follow your doctors rules and the weight loss will come in time. You need to heal.

The first 4-6 weeks post surgery are for healing, not losing. I wouldn't be too worried about it.

If you really want to lose even during the healing phase, start counting calories and keeping your food to a cup or less per meal.

Best wishes.

You are working out already? Wow...good for you... My dr wouldn't let me do exercise for a month.

That said... Are you on solid foods yet? If so are you tracking your calories? Even tho this is a time for healing we still need to be aware of what we eat and drink.

Have you gained anything?

I was on liquid foods from the 8-16th. After that i was put on soft foods but what's the difference between soft and regular diets lol? The sample menus I was given pretty much are the same in my opinion. As far as my exercises im just walking for now... they want me to do 30 minutes but I go for a hour. I feel good and people tell me Im losing but the scale say something totally different

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
