Just a quick post to tell you all that losing weight and maintaining at goal weight is POSSIBLE with the band.

I lost approximately 115 lbs in 14 months.

I have now maintained my weight loss and am at my goal weight for over two years now.

It's A LOT of work.

It's not easy.

But totally worth it!

You can do it too.

How do you do it? I had mine in 2008 lost from 330 to 225 then gained back to 272 and now back to 262 and at a standstill for over a year. Any advise??

I am finding maintaining easier than I thought it would be... I guess 2 yrs of eating like a bandster does that to you. Congratulations on your success

bchgurl4u:

I recommend that you find your "WHY"

"WHY" do you want to lose weight?

Is that "WHY" worth it to you to not turn to food when you're bored, sad, happy, etc? Also known as = Not hungry.

Is that "WHY" worth it to you to choose to exercise each and every day?

Weight loss with the band in my opinion is a huge mental game.

If you can find your "WHY" - then maybe you'll be able to find weight loss?

Just an idea.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
