Go back to the eating plan you had when you were first banded. Do the liquids stage, the mushies stage and gradually add back in solid food. Protein first, then veggies if still hungry. It is your life make the changes you know you need to make.

In addition to what CHEZ posted you really need to go back to the dr for a check up and most likely a fill. If you call them and explain your situation they maybe will allow you to work out a payment plan.

You must stop finding excuses to fail. Life gets in the way for me and all of us. Many times during my journey I had to travel for work, eat lunch out with clients or employees... Eat dinner on the fly...... But I always made good selections and continued to lose weight. You can too if you get your head back into the game.

Start with your next meal. Start tracking your calories, measuring portions... Think about what you can take with you to eat at school. Now days convenience sized foods and cheap plastic containers make it so simple to prepare food ahead of time.

There really is no excuse if you want it badly enough. Find your inner strength and just do it.

I wasn't trying to make excuses for failing.. At the time I wasn't focused on what I should've been I was focused on school an getting my cosmetology license.. An one thing you don't under stand is when I'm working on a client an it's an all day process I have to take a quick snack an. Drink being a hairdresser isn't a lap band friendly job I have to take what I can get when I can get it that's the consequences of my job I may have a meal planned out but not get a chance to eat it cause of the type of service I'm doing... I'm not trying to make excuses I'm trying to find a way to fix the mistakes I've made

I'm just like you. This band is not working for me like it is for everyone else. I've been filled up to 11cc and followed the proper diet but once I fall off, it's tragic. No one with a busy life can really maintain this perfect high Protein, lw carb plan without falling off the track. Don't feel bad about your situation. Hopefully when it clicks with us we will be able to lose but until then, don't feel bad bc you are not alone. I wish others would speak up and not be ashamed.

You have your high Protein before you go to work, you take a high protein lunch to work with you, chicken salad, tuna comes in 3oz can with crackers, greek yogurt, string cheese, its the law you get a break, plus you are only suppose to take 20mins for a meal. Pure protein makes a Protein Shake in a take along can. Have high protein for dinner after work. Also keep a huge water bottle at your station, thats what my hairdresser does.

If you really want this, you can work it out. Planning ahead is the key. We have no secret take off weight without following the rules. You need WANT POWER, do you have it. Make it work!

I think just being organized may help you. As in, prepare everything you need for the day the night before. Get all your shakes and lunch items together and eat them between clients when and if you can. I know a cosmetologists schedule isn't the easiest, but I believe that you can find a way to make it work. Best of luck to you!

I'm a social worker and my day is often very busy. Well it was. I just relocated and will be getting back into the swing of working again soon. I have to say thatbi agree with the suggestion. However I understand the struggle. Some people have the surgery and do well. There's a big group that struggle. I can't speak for them, but I know that my problem is lack of consistency. I have to plan my meal or else I will end up with something I don't need. For the last couple of days my band has been tight. So Protein works. I got in some egg drop Soup. That wasn't apart of the plan for today, but I knee I needed something clear and hot. I eat a lot of egg drop soup in the beginning of this journey, so I knee what was safe for me . Don't get discouraged or see the comments as negative. The truth hurts, but you need the support and remainders. It will get you back on track faster :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
