Anyone else getting banded in January? I'm scheduled for January 23rd. It all feels so real now that a date has been set.

i'm so sorry that you are in pain! it's crazy the range of pain those of us that have already been banded have gone through! it's from 0 to 100.

@melidawn im finally getting some sleep.

So now that it's February... How are all of us January bandsters doing?

I feel great. I down 38 lbs. no complications or even any pain from surgery. I am loving my decision.

me too! it's only been 5 days for me but I feel almost completely normal and am down 19 lbs. 66 more to go!

I slept in a bed for the first time last night. This morning I realized I'm having a problem with the protein shakes. After two to three sips I get a pain in my left side and back. Live and learn.

I'm doing good so far. My first fill will be on the 26th.

WOW! It almost 4 weeks now since I got banded, it is the best decision I ever made in my life, not hungry in the morning, and my meals are small and slow and I am full of energy, so far since surgery I lost 24 lbs.

glad you are doing so well moses. I'm a week behind you so I'm almost three weeks out. Went back to work last week and so far so good. Even took the Path and walked up/down the stairs instead of going to Penn just so I could take the escalator/elevator. Took it slow, but made it. I'm weighing my meals...no fills yet so I need to make sure not to overeat. Most of the time, I'm satisfied after eating and am good with that. Just started 'regular' foods on Thursday and have had no issues. Not sure of the weight loss...every scale is different but am somewhere between 20-23 lbs. down. My first fill is scheduled for the 15th. What about you?

Doing well Monday marks my first week of being banded!! Only complaint I'm a bit hungry as my doctor has me on protein shakes after a week of clear liquids

I hear ya! i'm on soups though so that is helping but my hunger has definitely woken up!! I only had to do the clear liquids for 3 days. now 2 Weeks of creamy liquids.

I wish I was on creamy liquids! But it's only a short time considering the time i took to gain weight! I'm hungry through:( I've been hungry every 3 hours

Don't feel bad. I am in the same situation. I can't wait to start creamy food. I cheated today. I had a few cashews though. Chewed them to the point of peanut butter. I feel horrible bow about it. Hope I didn't do any harm.

I am happy for you that you doing great, I have my first fill on the 19th as I am leaving out of the country this week, and coming back the 15th, I am walking now 2 miles 5 times a week so not pushing it too hard but doing and felling much better then I used too, I am always now full of energy!

Surgery was 1/30/13 and I'm not hungry. I accidentally went like 6 hours without something in my stomach (first time out of the house since surgery and was busy) so when I got back home and my stomach was rumbling bad! It hurt! I gently gave it what it wanted and it settled down. But through it all...I wasn't hungry. I'm sure that will change but for now I need to pay better attention and not rely on my stomach to tell me when to eat.
