  1. I sneeze too!! it's a funny feeling!!
  2. finally after my fourth fill I'm feeling my band!!
  3. I had surgery a month before you and it has taken four fills to get me to 3.5ccs and I'm just now starting to feel my band. my Dr told me I probably wouldn't feel anything until around 4. since he told me that I wasn't discouraged when I felt no difference after those first fills. don't force it. like my Dr keeps telling me, this is a marathon not a sprint. I know it's frustrating. hang in there and don't eat something to try to feel restriction. causing damage isn't worth it.
  4. Girl, I just want to give you a hug. I could have written that. Exactly how I feel. Nice to know we're not alone. Easy for your family to say!!
  5. I didn't feel anything....not even a pinch. you'll be fine!
  6. it's frustrating. my Dr is super conservative with fills and I think it will be months before I feel restriction! I have 2ccs now 4 Weeks out from surgery. not another fill until 6 more Weeks. just wanted you to know you're not alone. he said id probably feel some restriction around 4 ccs. such a long process but we're in it for the long haul!!
  7. thanks ! i'm happy for all on here who are doing so well.... but it's getting hard to even read the forums! keep me posted on your fill.
  8. I too have a strange pain in my left side and I do NOT think is gas. the only way I know to describe it is a "stitch" our cramp in my side like you sometimes get when you eat right before exercising? not too worried about it though.,, will ask my surgeon when I see him Monday.
  9. my pain usually sets in later in the day. yesterday was my first night going to bed without pain meds! yeah!! I'm hungry all the time it feels like but I'm trying to eat very small portions. I'm anxious to have real food!!!
  10. I only had it the first few days after surgery but it was crazy bad. as id be talking it would get worse until I felt like my mouth was full of glue and id have to stop talking! weird!
  11. I hear ya! i'm on soups though so that is helping but my hunger has definitely woken up!! I only had to do the clear liquids for 3 days. now 2 Weeks of creamy liquids.
  12. me too! it's only been 5 days for me but I feel almost completely normal and am down 19 lbs. 66 more to go!
  13. How are you doing, nursemedic? Wknds are hard! I woke up so hungry but I've managed. How many more days do you have? Two more for me.
  14. I've been super weak too..... Don't feel guilty but don't do that again! definitely try to increase the Protein. That is the only thing that shuts my stomach up.
  15. I'm on day three and I feel like i'm dying! I'm so hungry! Thankfully I only have to do one week. Hang in there....you're not alone!

  18. I'm on day two and I feel horrible. Had to leave work early today because I was so tired I couldn't function. fortunately my pre op diet is only a week. Surgery the 29th. I wish I could have a lean cuisine meal our something!
  19. Very encouraging!!! I started mine yesterday and mine is only a week so I need to not whine. I hear the first few days are the worst but I'm hungry and super tired.
  20. I can't believe how this month has flown!!!! It's been awesome to see all the new bandies, and I'm still patiently waiting for mine on the 29th. So thankful for the friends I've already made through this forum. No one understands our struggles the way others who struggle with their weight. Thank you to all of you for your openness, your compassion, and your time to share. Blessings to you all!
