  1. I got some from Unjury made specifically for Lap Band patients. They were super nice when I called to order protein powder and send several free samples of vitamins and other flavors of protein powder
  2. That is so sad! I wish I could come help you!!!! Hang in there and even though we can't help with the physical support.....we're certainly available for your emotional support!!!!! We're rooting for you and I will be praying that you DO have an easy time of it and that he comes to see how hurtful he's being. Blessings, Alicia
  3. Jeez! How long were you even at the hospital???? That was FAST! My surgery is EARLY on the 29th and I have to stay the night. That's going to stink!!!!
  4. My doctor says that he stitches the port into the muscle so it can't move.
  5. I had to laugh when you said his 'unfriendly' sort of way!!!!! Doesn't have a good bedside manner I take it? I don't know if I have a choice in choosing where it goes, I was just curious what others had done. I love to sleep on my left side and just don't want it to be uncomfortable.
  6. Congrats, Crystal!!!!! Such a relief to just have that HUGE hurdle out of the way. So much stress waiting for approval! My surgery is actually on the 29th. So I look forward to following our progress together! BLESSINGS!
  7. Congrats Julie!!!! Hope recovery is going well for you!!!!!
  8. That's awesome!!!! What a relief, I know!!!!
  9. I just hit 200 while going through dietary counseling FOR The band. Devastating. I have never ever been this heavy, and I'm only 38. So glad I'm doing this. Less than two weeks until my surgery. Just remember, information is FREE!!!!! You can't get enough. And it is YOUR health, YOUR life, YOUR decision. BLESSINGS!!!!
  10. Happy band birthday tjmiller. Praying for you!
  11. Sounds like your surgeon knows what she's doing. You can do it!!!!! Hope you feel better.
  12. Well, I don't have a lot of advice except to tell you that you certainly have been through a lot, and I'm 38 and it stinks to have all those health issues and lack of energy. I'm exactly in the same boat. My BMI is 38.7. I personally have chosen the band because statistically as presented to me, it is very safe. That was key for me. The weight may not come off as fast as with gastric, but you're not on a sprint here, it's a marathon. And losing it slower is more beneficial to your body. I'm only a pre-bander so I can't tell ya how well it works, but I can tell you I'm excited I'm doing it and my advice is to find a seminar for the band in your area and get as much information as you can. Good luck and health to you!!!!
  13. Well, when is it!?!?!
  14. AWESOME!!!! Let the countdown begin!
  15. YEAH!!!!! So excited for you! I'll be coming home from the hospital and you'll be going in!!!!! Just a day apart! Cool!!!!!
  16. I should have asked my surgeon this Friday, but I am also just curious if everyone is the same or different. Is your port on your left side or right side? I know the stomach is more on our left side.
  17. I thought of something else!!! I can't wait for some of my rings to fit again!!
