  12. I am so excited. I actually like getting on the scale now. I'm looking good in my clothes. I am so happy with what I have done so far. My surgery was feb 5 of 2013 and I am looking forward to each day.
  13. Yes! I had it in feb 2013 and I am 40 pounds down best decision I have ever made.
  14. My stomach feels so swollen still. The Dr. said everything looked great I was released to go back to work. (I go back Thursday) My incisions look good no signs or symptoms of infection I just feel BLOATED. I drink water constantly because I don't want to become dehydrated. Sometimes I just feel like this is in my throat. I had an emotional breakdown yesterday of wtf was I thinking and why did I do this. Does anyone have these or had these issues?? Also how do you sleep?? I just don't want to screw this up.
  15. I have to chime in on this. I was a bulimic for several years. After several years of counseling and treatment I haven't been a bulemic for years. I was approved to have the lapband and my surgeon was fully aware of my history. My psychiatrist and surgeon worked together and I didn't get the procedure until they both thought I was ready.
  16. I have another week of full liquids... My stomach has made more noise than I have ever heard! I am sticking to the diet and drs orders. Its just frustrating. I am also getting rid of the pain meds. I think most of my uncomfortableness is the gas not actual pain and I hate how the lortab makes me feel. I have been drinking tons of water to make me feel full. I just don't want to screw this up like I have every other diet. Good grief they cut 5 holes in me and put a band around my stomach enough is enough. What are some things on the full liquid phase that made you feel full or satisfied??
  17. I don't feel any restriction and I'm starving. I don't get a fill for 6 weeks sooooo in the mean time how how you survive??? I'm following the full liquid diet and am down 8 pounds since surgery but my stomach is soooooo swollen still. And I am beginning to think the dr stood on top of me to put this in because the of all the bruising ... I'm turning into a purple hulk. HELP
  18. I originally kept mine quiet until my husband told his mom who told his sister who told the entire world..... I get so irritated I hear well so and so had it and they gained all their weight back. It's like they are setting me up to fail. And the girl at work that said she would have fat surgey if she was my size that brought all the emotions from high school on. That's one of the reasons I want this procedure. I am tired of being called fat and the big one etc etc. I have 5 days..... Ahhhhhh!!!!!
  19. I'm nervous, I'm excited, I'm ready for the change. This time next week I will be home and sipping on water and sucking on ice cubes! Ahhhhh!!! I have been on my liquid diet for 7 days with each day getting easier. I called the nurse and explained I am a nurse and am a zombie at work I am on my feet 8-16 hours a day and she is letting me add up to 2 shakes on my shift days and it has made a world of difference. I work as a prison nurse I can't just be passing out around inmates.... Just sayin. I am so excited. I can't wait to go shopping on the regular side of the store, or not contort myself when I am painting my toenails, and go to an amusement park and fit on all the rides. I had a bad experience at six flags vowed never to go back 6 years ago. My dream job is a flight nurse... That means WEIGHT LIMIT. I want to do the 5ks that I do and not just do them to finish them. I want to kick ass on them. I did the warrior dash last year. It took me almost 2 hours to complete. I couldn't do 4 of the obsticles and I know people were wondering what the hell I was doing there but i finished it!!! And guess what. all ready signed up for the next one in September! I am going to own this new body. I have already registered for the color run, the foam fest, and the run for your life as well as my warrior dash. I had a girl at work we will call her skinny twit say if she was my size she would have fat surgery too. Well I'm not lazy. Never have been. I just need help. I know I'm rambling but not everyone wants to hear about it. They think I am taking the easy way out. My husband is 100% supportive and has been with me 12 years and in that 12 years plus 40 minus 40 plus 40 minus 40 etc etc. and might I add he is 6'4 muscluar 200 pounds and eats whatever he wants.... Jerk. (Sweet loving supportive jerk lol) anyway any thoughts? Words of wisdom???
  20. Ok I'm ambulance today I'm strong I can do this. I WILL NOT CHEAT. I have my shakes in the rig. I will stay on track. I am 7 pounds down. I got this.
  21. Drinking more water has really helped. 10 more days till surgery.
  22. Today wasn't bad... I have a really supportive husband even though he is 6'4 and 200 pounds he says he will get fit with me (as I roll my eyes) he is doing shakes and has been eating all the "good food" at work and not around me. Tomorrow I work my part time job which is on an ambulance for 24 hours.... This will be a challenge I will keep 3-4 shakes in the rig that way I'm not tempted.
  23. I was soooooooo hungry when I got home I had a couple of handfuls of almonds. Now I feel guilty.. And work wasn't bad but my stomach wouldn't shut up..... I guess I need to add another shake. Is this diet designed for people that don't move around alot??? I am constantly on the move I feel like a zombie....... I am going to start wondering around the healthcare asking for brains.....
