Wow all interesting jobs!! Great post in forum.

I am a chiropractor. I sold my practice (which consumed me night and day owning a business) to get in shape and finally lose weight. My excuse (one of many of them) was I didn't have "time" to work out and eat healthy. So I did something about that! I am currently working for a chiropractor 14 hours a week for some income. I LOVE WORKING for someone else, the stress of owning your own business is horrible! I had my surgery Dec 4 and down 34 pounds ;) I am so pleased and I started working out again!

My days are very flexible so it gives me time to cook and workout. I do spend time on here chatting, texting and emailing with others about our surgeries, sharing experiences, recipes and our progress. This is my plan for one year to 18 months until I get to goal weight and at that point I will decide what I want to do with the rest of my life!! I know one thing for sure I am sure as hell going to enjoy it!!

Good luck to all of you!! I love hearing all your stories, a lot of them so inspiring!!

Irene ;)

I am a coding and OASIS-C specialist working from home as a home healthcare auditor. Basically, I am privately contracted by home health agencies to review the work of their nurses and therapists to make sure they are paid as high as possible without being fraudulent under Medicare guidelines.

And now that I've put you to sleep...!

Wow... i'm surrounded by amazing people....

My first job was a mom at the tender age of 16. Started working as a waitress... and LOVED every minute... I did that mostly till 94' when i went back to school and got my degree in Business. But i have been the following: Mom, Waitress, phone telemarketing, video clerk, sandwich artist..(lol), worked in a fabric store and Accounts payable clerk. One of my most fun jobs was a Crane operator..... My last job (10 Years) was in purchasing and then moved to casualty claims at a Major LTL freight company before the laid me off and now:

the past two and half years I have worked for an company that manufactures and install erosion control concert mats... I'm a logistics coordinator After Oil companies (shell, exxonmobil, tx gas, fl. gas.... etc) come to us with an erosion problem, we go out and install our product. I find and purchase and or rent everything needed to complete the job..... from finding hotel room, porta potties, dirt, 80,000Lb excavator, track loaders...and EVERYTHING else...

WOW

everyone has such exciting jobs!

Unfortunately, I just graduated college and am getting temp jobs but nothing permanent

I recently worked as a pharmacy technician, substitute for a high school math class, and as a receptionist. Nothing exciting and right now i'm out of a job, but at least this gives me time to really focus on myself and really spend time at the gym (really my life sucks at the moment, just trying to make myself feel better)

You should be proud of yourself. You are half way to your goal and you graduated college. The job will come in God's time. I can empathize with you, I am back in school (at 40 yrs) and I just did find a part time job with the post office after losing my job 2 years ago. Keep your head up and keep on trucking

You are on a great path....You are a college grad, you are making great contacts... stop thinking your life sucks... you have made the choice to have LB to take control of your life... this is HUGE... Embrace every pound and every inch lost...

Temp jobs a great..... think of all the contacts you are making and the different things you are learning and one day someone will look at your resume' and say.... Wow this girl is well rounded... Always be up for learning something new... and go into every interview thinking... These people need me, and when you leave, leave with them thinking.... Damn we need her.

Your permanent job is only a one temp job away.....

I'm an RN and currently work as an Administrator in my niche field of Infusion Therapy. That means I'm an IV nurse, working with intravenous drugs as part of a

IV pharmacy. I manage 3 sites across Montana, servicing Montana and Northern Wyoming.

I've been in the specialty for 25 years and love doing it in this rural state. It does add a different flavor to business operations to cover such a huge area. Sometimes the corporate office has trouble seeing that life here is not the same as in Chicago, LA or Seattle. We have less than 1 million people across the 4th largest state in the U.S. Same quality and standards, but less resources and lots more space to do it in.

I love my niche. I get the nursing part of helping people get better and the analytical side of figuring out how it all works together across the multi-disciplinary teams and offices.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
