Im scheduled for surgery on the 16th of November. I will be having it done 3 hours from home. I am concerned about the number of times I need to return for fills. Does anyone know what is a standard number of fills and how many cc's each one should be?

Every doctor is different plus every patient is different. There is no standard amount or number of fills. I would suggest talking with your doctor. Ive been banded for 9 months and see my doctor once a month. In the beginning it was every 2 weeks. I've had about 10 fills, not sure how much in my band...that number is irrelevant to me. I am in the green zone and am enjoying my band. Hope this helps.

I'm similar to you I'm traveling like 4.5 hrs to have my surgery and my first year of fills are free, but I have already said that if I need them often I will consult with my moms LB doctor and just pay him to get the fills instead of having to gas up and drive 4.5 hrs or spending money on a plane ticket. It just all depends on how often I need them and how much a plane ticket will cost at the time. Hopefully I won't need that many fills till I can get to the perfect zone since I don't have as much to lose.

Well, I had to pay cash for this, and my fills are free for a year as well. But the average cost for a fill here is $250.00, and I cannot swing that
