I was banded on the first as well. My dietician/surgeon has a very strict diet schedule that we have to follow. The first 3 days including the day of surgery it was a clear liquid diet. Then day 4 to 18 is what they call a full liquid diet (things like yogurt' date=' cottage cheese, cream of wheat [watered down'] are ok. On day 19 I can finally start the mashed/puréed foods. They told me they do it this way so that the band has time to scar into place. So even though my surgery was on the first, I have to wait till the 19th before going to mashed foods. Then I stay on that diet till 5 weeks after surgery before moving back to solid foods again. I am soo ready for mashed foods???±???«

I know what you mean. My diet schedule is the same as yours. Last night out of desperation I took 1/4 avocado, I tablespoon Greek yogurt 1:4 c milk and 1/4 scoop unflavored Protein and "smoothed" it for dinner. It was SO good. And for the first time in ads I felt full. Must be psychosomatic.

Glad to see I'm not the only one hating the whole liquid diet thing. That smoothie sounds good. I might just have to try something like it soon. ???‰

Here is a yummy recipe for noodlesss lasagna I got from my Doctors office for the mushy phase. I love it:

2 heaping tablespoons of Ricotta cheese low fat

1-2 teaspoons of Pasta Sauce any kind

1-2 ounces of shredded lite mozzarella cheese

Layer, microwave for one minute, mix and enjoy :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
