i am on the mushie foods now. i have been eating alot of mashed potatoes and apple sauce..kinda gets old. cant wait to start slowly eating solid food though.

I was banded on the first as well. My dietician/surgeon has a very strict diet schedule that we have to follow. The first 3 days including the day of surgery it was a clear liquid diet. Then day 4 to 18 is what they call a full liquid diet (things like yogurt' date=' cottage cheese, cream of wheat [watered down'] are ok. On day 19 I can finally start the mashed/puréed foods. They told me they do it this way so that the band has time to scar into place. So even though my surgery was on the first, I have to wait till the 19th before going to mashed foods. Then I stay on that diet till 5 weeks after surgery before moving back to solid foods again. I am soo ready for mashed foods???±???«

Glad to see I'm not the only one hating the whole liquid diet thing. That smoothie sounds good. I might just have to try something like it soon. ???‰

2 heaping tablespoons of Ricotta Cheese low fat

1-2 teaspoons of pasta sauce any kind

1-2 ounces of shredded lite mozzarella cheese

Layer, microwave for one minute, mix and enjoy

I'm in the soft/pureed food stage right now. I haven't been pureeing or blending any food nor eating baby food. I've pretty much been eating the same thing day in day out. I eat plain greek yogurt for breakfast, 2 scrambled eggs with 1 slice low fat cheese for lunch and grilled tilapia with mashed potatoes for dinner. I'm looking forward to eating solid food on Sunday! I would strongly suggest mashing carrots or spinach to help move your bowels. I've been really constipated since my surgery.
