Six Flags

Recommended Posts

I'm planning on going to six flags in two weeks for the last day of frightfest. At this point I'm 5'6 1/2 and roughly 260 give or take a pound, and nervous as all get out.

The last time I went to six flags I was in the 8th grade and I know for a fact that I was 260 at that time as well, I just dont remember how tall I was, but I fit just fine in everything. I'm not top heavy I'm barely a "C" cup anymore. And, I know most of the rides are shoulder restraints I'm more concerned about the lap restraints.

So has anyone been to any parks since and been able to fit or not fit?

My mom says I'm fine and my unlce who is about 6'1 and about 270 has always been able to fit, but I'm still super nervous now.

I'm very interesting what responses you get because I was curious about the same thing. I know when I was there 20 years ago I weighed about what I do now (267) but I'm still super scared of going and not being able fit. I was considering taking my kids to Cedar Point for a weekend for Fright Fest, but despite the weight I've already lost, I'm afraid of being still being too big.

I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain in So Ca a few months ago for the first time since high school (over 25 yrs ago). I'm not a coaster fan but my new husband is. Let me tell you -I must luv him lots! He got me on everything! Scared me to death. I think if God had meant for you to be upside down, you'd have been born with feet on your head!

I never tried to get on the rides when I weighed 248, but at 150,I fit perfectly. The seats are smaller than I thought they'd be, however. Not sure if you would fit at 260 or not. If you fit on 1, though, you should fit on all of them. Good luck and have fun!

I'm 5'4" and was 270 at my highest. I know some rides were a pretty tight fit and others I just wasn't willing to wait in line to find out if I would fit or not.

The Six Flags (Great America) in Illinois has a seat outside most of their high thrill rides that you can test to see if you fit comfortably. It was not something I wanted people to see me do, so I would opt out of the ride all together. I must admit that I had a blast this summer riding all the roller coasters!

I am 5'5" and weighed 260 about a year ago. I went to seaworld and yes I fit but just barely. I know when I went to six flags at 240 I could fit in the rides but again I was stuffed in there pretty good. I know what u mean. I used to stand in line and break into a cold sweat from being nervous. Even this last time when I went to universal I weighed 180 and was scared..I fit without issue but I think it was just those old bad feelings popping back up.

I went to an amusement park this summer for the first time in years, and was able to fit on every ride! Funny how something so simple can be a dream come true for many of us, huh? I got a little emotional just walking into the park that day. LOL!

I am 5'9", and weighed about 240 at the time. Carry most of my weight in my hips and thighs. I think you will be ok.

Fitting in the rides aside, I went to Six Flags a few weeks ago (approximately six weeks post op). I wasn't worried about fitting, but wasn't prepared for the different sensation the rides caused in my stomach since having the surgery. For me, that feeling in my stomach was far more intense. It kinda freaked me out. Not sure I like roller coasters post-lapband!

I was 5'6' and 265 this past summer and I went to Busch gardens and was able to get on all the roller coasters. Was so nervous I wouldn't fit!! Outside some of the rides they have tester seats u can try. If I would've weight 15 more pounds i prob wouldn't have for though.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
