I am currently 5 weeks post op and I am scheduled for my first fill on Monday afternoon. The doctors office didn't give me any instructions, so I assume I can eat my normal Breakfast and lunch before the fill Then liquids after. Was just curious if anybody has other instructions?

My office says nothing to eat or drink 2 hours before the appointment, and no meat, breads, or Pasta 24 hours afterwards.

You should check with your Doctor's office.

By the way, the first fill is not as bad as you think it may he! I was so nervous when I got mine a couple of weeks ago, and it turned out to be no big deal.

First fill is no biggie. I had one on Sept 18 and I didn't feel anything. I drank some Water in front of the doctor and then he let me go. I did on my own(no doctors orders) eat liquids for 2 days after fill. My second fill is scheduled Oct 30.

It's so weird how doctors are so different. I got banded August 7th and I've already had 3 fills and I'm a week away from my 4th fill if I need it. I think I'm very close to the green zone. I've dropped 45 pounds in just about 6weeks. I'm am so excited to feel the results. Keep up the great work everyone :)

Didnt receive any "pre" fill Instruction. And it was a peice of cake. 1 got 4cc in my 10 cc band. they told me to do liquid/mush for a day. Which I did. Then things were back to normal food. It took a few days till I felt a little something, I Do feel a little more full now.

Was banded aug 15th.

Second fill November 6th. :)

Good luck to u. I'm sure you'll do fine. Just follow your surgeons orders and if your not sure call them. That's what they're there for!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
