You're not supposed to be looking to feel full with the band, perhaps that's why you're feeling pain.

The band isn't supposed to make you feel full nor is it supposed to restrict what or how much you eat. The only thing the band is supposed to do is allow you to feel satisfied with less food for longer periods of time. Satisfied meaning no longer physically hungry, it has nothing to do with the full feeling you knew before being banded.

When, or if ever, do you feel full instead of pain?

if you are eating until you feel pain, then you are doing something wrong. you should stop eating at 1 cup of food. (pain is a sign of something is not right).

i am full at about 3/4 cup of food.< /span>

You lose weight via lap band by restriction, just like you lose weight via gastric bypass by malabsorption.

I'm only 4 days post op, but I feel sick as well with even the tiniest bit of any of my liquid foods.

I'm still healing if course and hope this disappears, but I am feeling god awful

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
