Pain Vs Full

You're not supposed to be looking to feel full with the band, perhaps that's why you're feeling pain.

The band isn't supposed to make you feel full nor is it supposed to restrict what or how much you eat. The only thing the band is supposed to do is allow you to feel satisfied with less food for longer periods of time. Satisfied meaning no longer physically hungry, it has nothing to do with the full feeling you knew before being banded.

Well when your hunger is simply satiated, there is no pain. Or at least there's not supposed to be. If you're not trying to feel full and you're feeling pain, then I'd discuss it with your surgeon. That's not normal.

When, or if ever, do you feel full instead of pain?

if you are eating until you feel pain, then you are doing something wrong. you should stop eating at 1 cup of food. (pain is a sign of something is not right).

i am full at about 3/4 cup of food.

You lose weight via lap band by restriction, just like you lose weight via gastric bypass by malabsorption.

The problem is I'm not even getting prob a half of cup sometimes i take a bite of something and it just hurts I'm chewing well and taking slow small bites unlessbi eat yogart or ice cream. I cant live off slider foods or the band will do me no gopd

I'm only 4 days post op, but I feel sick as well with even the tiniest bit of any of my liquid foods.

I'm still healing if course and hope this disappears, but I am feeling god awful
