It gets easier, I promise!!

I have all kinds of stuff in the house that I no longer eat, but my family does. It doesnt bother me any more.

I have a thin husband who can eat anything and he does. I just choose not to touch anything I know I can't control.

Once I make up my mind, I have no problems. I'm also working on emotional eating by working in my yard.

I understand completely. For me it is a lot harder to say no to the 2nd (or 3rd or 8th) than it is to say no to the first bite!

I felt the same way it was frustrating. Since I'm the one whole usually does the grocery shopping I just don't buy junk. My kids and hubby learned to adjust. They still bring home candies and chips but I have my alternatives like Fiber one bars and pop chips. I usually just want to taste it and I'm satisfied

I haven't even gotten banded yet and I am already feeling the pressure of having things in the house not to eat.

Soon after banded I realized a lot if the junk we had in our house couldn't go down so great. So, a lot of this stuff will steer you away from it naturally. Plus, you will be so stoked about the weight loss journey that hopefully you won't touch it. I still have a couple bites of chips. But that's about all I can eat vs. the whole bag before I was banded.

I'm in the same boat!

My family thinks that after surgery my appetite cravings just magically go away! They buy pizza, chips, Cookies etc etc.

LOL I guess I can't blame them because why should they have to be on a diet just because I'm on one?

But anyhow, after a while you eventually stop desiring this sh!tty food and it gets easier.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
