Yesterday it was in high 80's and now today it's dropped down to the high 60's. I was actually cold so I went into my closet to pull out my once favorite black cardigan.

The cardigan I wore the day I had surgery and I haven't worn in many months.

Holy cow' date=' I couldn't believe how huge it was on me! I mean, I guess I should've known because I've dropped 5-6 sizes since then, but putting that sweater on was a "wow" moment. It really put into perspective how far I've come. Especially considering the day of surgery, I couldn't button it because it was too tight across the tummy if I did.

So, I thought I'd share the difference. Here is me in the now massive sweater :)

Good Job!!!

Thanks! It's taken me 7 months to lose 128 pounds.

I'm still losing, though. Definitely not done yet.

I get asked this a lot, but the honest to God truth is I don't eat or do anything special. In fact, I still eat the same meals with my kids I did before surgery just healthier versions and smaller portions. For instance, I still eat Hamburger Helper, but I eat the whole grain versions and make it with lean turkey instead of ground beef, of course I eat a much smaller portion too.

The best advice I can give anyone is to see a nutritionist and get clear food guidelines set. Not a diet, but guidelines you can make your new lifestyle. For instance, I can't do low carb for a lifetime realistically. So, I don't do low carbs. However, I do monitor my Protein, carb, and fat intake daily to stay within reasonable guidelines. I also log my food and calories daily and have since the day I got home from the hospital.

Really, that's all I do. Nothing special.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
