I had mine June 15 on a Friday, I was back to work on the 19th the following Tuesday, I held a desk job. But remember everyone is diffirent.

My doctor wrote the note not to return to work for a week.

My doctor normally gives 2 weeks, I extended mine a little, I'm going to be off Aug 1st - 20th :D

My surgery was June 4. I was off one week. I am a store manager with a very active job. My doctor said no lifting for 4 to 6 weeks. I did my job "normally" after 4 weeks. Remember to talk with your doctor.

I'm a paramedic and I was off for 2 weeks then right back to normal duties!

I took off 5 weeks mostly becase I needed a vacation and wanted to take my time healing. Inittally I was approved for 2 weeks then asked my doctor for additional time and he was very good with giving me the additional 3 weeks off. My company offers STD ( short term disiablity ) benifits so i took advantage of them. I also was self pay which helped me keep my business to myself also this surgery is defiently corverd under the FMLA law so you cant loose your job for taking the time you need to recover. At the end of the day its up to you and your doctor. Good luck.
