Dilated Esophagus?
It’s been 6 years since I’ve logged on to this forum which used to be my go to for information! I guess it’s true when things are going good you tend to stay away. Initially, I weighed 238, my lowest with the lap band was 138. 100 lbs! But, i’ve been struggling for the last 3 years, my 19 year old daughter died in a car accident and I guess I just didn’t care anymore. I have put on 50 lbs. it’s not that I’m eating more because I physically can’t. My primary care says it’s hormonal (pre-menopause). I finally after a year went to the doctor and when they checked the band my esophagus is twice it’s normal size and I’m restricted so nothing was done. Basically, I was told to get back to the basics, small bites, chew thoroughly, etc. I guess you forget about that after 6 years!i also have a lot of reflux but the good news is my band is still perfectly placed. Any suggestions? I’ve been doing liquids but at this point, I’m afraid to even eat solids!

Congrats! I was hoping for the same but turns out my high bp is genetic. I did get to reduce the dosage though.

Too tight or irritated?
I had a fill on the 19th and could sip water slowly, but I felt it. I wondered if I had too much of a fill and it was the weekend so I just rode it out. This continued for the 2 days that I'm required to be on fluids after a fill, and on the 3rd day, I wasn't as tight, but I definitely have more restriction. I think my stomach was irritated by the fill Also, I usually can't eat breakfast till around 9-10am. As everyone else has suggested, just take it slow.

Before and After Lap Band Surgery - PICTURES ONLY
2 weeks until my 1 year bandiversary! 5lbs until goal! I've included a pic of me in my wedding dress on June 30th. My Husband and I renewed our vows and had the wedding we never had after 13 years! I can't say I would have been thrilled this time last year to look at wedding pics!

Just a little update on my 10 month bandiversary!
@Jennifer...I eat about 1200 calories a day and log everything into myfitnesspal. I try to exercise at least 3 times a week, weights and cardio. Things have slowed down a bit but I'm going to start training for a summer 5k so maybe things will pick up and I'll reach goal soon. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using LapBandTalk

Just a little update on my 10 month bandiversary!
It's hard for me to believe that I have lost 92lbs since beginning this journey in February 2012! I lost 30lbs before surgery just by starting to exercise and make better food choices and 62lbs since my lapband surgery August 1, 2012. I have to say this is the best thing I have ever done for myself and I have a completely different relationship with food. I went from a size 16-18 to a size 4-6. I am 6lbs away from my goal and although these last few pounds seem like they are taking forever, I am so happy with my results. It's not easy but it's so worth it!

help. I hit a 1 Month plateau
I've only lost 8lbs in the last few months. It's definitely taking longer as I get closer to goal. Good luck!
