Post Fill Question

Recommended Posts

So Friday I have an appointment for my first fill. I have some friends in town and they are going to a Water park that day as well. Do you think I'll be fine to enjoy the park right after getting my first fill?

Sure, I don't see why not. You will just likely be on liquids for the first day or so after.

Just be sure to take a big gulp of Water before you leave the doc's office, not just a little sip. If you're too tight the Water will gurgle back up your throat and you can immediately get a little taken out.

Good luck with your fill and enjoy the water park :)

I agree i cant see why u couldnt go and enjoy yourself, just be careful physically as u still are only a 5 weeks post op.. A fill shouldnt restrict u physically afterwards at all, if u are concerned discuss with your doctor :)

Of course you can enjoy the Water park. Having a fill is like having blood drawn, a minor inconvenience.

I had double-header softball games immediately after both of my fills. It was fine. Just be careful and make sure you can handle gulping Water. I chug mine, and it startled me at first to feel the water backing up. Haha.

Although don't do any waterpark food! You need to re-learn to eat after EVERY fill. If you can eat something now, there is no guarantee it will stay safe for you. It changes. My doctor has me on liquids the first day, then mushy the next. Solids after that.

You should be fine but follow doctors rules. Full liquids for whatever he/she advises. I took it easy on first fill, stomach a little queasy because they are messing with it. But overall felt fine.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
